What age is best for your shows?
It depends on the show. Penguin Goes to Flight School — Ages 2–7; Kid Frankenstein, The Musical — Ages 7+. Each show's page states its own recommended ages.
Can I bring a 2-year-old to the show?
Yes — Penguin Goes to Flight School is designed for ages 2 and up. Our shows run 55 minutes with no intermission, and the house lights never go all the way down, so you can step out with a little one whenever you need to.
What time should we arrive at the theatre?
We recommend arriving 15-20 minutes before showtime to allow time for parking, finding your seats, and getting comfortable.
Is there parking near the theater?
Several paid parking garages are located within a few blocks of
Actors Temple Theatre. On-Street parking on Sundays only may be limited,
so families should allow extra time.
Are there bathrooms in the theater?
Yes, and they are available through out the performance. An accessible family restroom is available just inside the entrance. Full ladies
room in on the 2nd floor. Men's room is on the lower level
Can we bring snacks or drinks?
Of Course! And we also sell an assortment of snacks and juices and (kosher cupcakes!) in case you forget.
What happens if my child gets scared during the show?
Our shows are designed to be age-appropriate and non-scary.
However, if your child needs to leave, ushers can help you exit quietly
and you're welcome to return when ready.
Do you have wheelchair access?
Access is limited but available. A door opens directly onto the
sidewalk, and a chair lift carries you up the six steps to the
theatre level. The accessible restroom is on that same level, so
there are no further stairs once you are inside.

Can I take photos during the show?
Of course! Photos (without flash) and videos are encourage before during and after the show.
What should my child wear to the show?
Casual, comfortable clothing is perfect. Some families dress up for a special occasion, but it's entirely up to you. We recommend layers as the theatre temperature can vary.
How early should we buy tickets?
Weekend shows often sell out 1-2 weeks in advance. We recommend purchasing tickets at least one week before your desired date.

What's the best seat for a toddler?
Aisle seats in rows D-H provide great views while allowing easy access if you need to step out. Orchestra center seats (rows E-G) offer the best overall view for young children.

No, our shows run continuously for 55 minutes without an intermission. This format works best for young children's attention spans.
